Storybook & Coolawarra Alpacas are delighted to host this month’s Coffee Catch-Up at our Home Location in Bargo

We span 4 generations of Alpaca Breeding in Australia with our herd numbers fluctuating around 1200 per annum (over 4 properties in the Southern Highlands, and on the South Coast).  We breed Huacaya and Suri Alpacas for their fleece and also their meat.

At the visit you will be able to walk an alpaca, pat an alpaca, hug an alpaca, read to it if you so desire (they are great listeners - their favourite books  - Matt Cosgrove’s Macca the Alpaca!), take photos, and have all your 101 questions answered about alpacas.

We have toilet facilities but disabled access into the toilets is limited or non-existent.

There is also a FARM GATE SHOP - featuring loads of Alpaca items from as little as $2 - homemade scarves, rugs, blankets, tea towels, toys , Australian made items, Yarn, Doonas  - an extensive range of products

Guidelines for a Great Visit

-           Farm is Non-Smoking

-           Pack sunscreen, sun hat, beanie & a jumper – all year round

-           NO dogs or other animals are allowed on the property – for bio-security reasons for the alpacas

-           Closed shoes are needed for the walking of alpacas – no thongs or bare feet

-           Children must be supervised at all times but are more than welcome

-           Bring smiles and be ready for fun!
