Caroline Argent, Director Shire Connections Wollondilly Shire Council, will share her leadership journey covering both the public and private sector, outlining what steps she took, what pitfalls she overcame and what led her to her current senior position at Wollondilly Council.

ABOUT CAROLINE ARGENT

Caroline was born in Adelaide, South Australia and is now a proud resident of the Wollondilly Shire, having moved to New South Wales with her family in 2015. Caroline has been married to her husband Matthew for 22 years.

Having worked in the private and public sectors for over 20 years, Caroline has a wealth of management experience. She has a proven track record leading challenging and complex organisations and delivering outstanding results for customers, team members and stakeholders. Caroline has held senior management roles at Engineers Australia and the Pharmacy Guild of Australia and is currently the Director of Shire Connections at Wollondilly Shire Council.

Caroline is focused on people leadership and continuous improvement, areas of interest that are well represented in Council’s organisational performance and strategic plans. Caroline completed a Masters of Business Administration in 2014 through the University of South Australia, including components undertaken at the University of Glasgow in Scotland and Loughborough University in London.
